The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

The Endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a very important network of receptors which help support activities like mood, sleep, pain responses, situational stress and immune system.
In other words, it’s the largest system of neurotransmitters, with receptors found throughout your entire body, and is very unique to you, just like your fingerprint.
These ECS receptors are found mainly in your brain and immune system, as well as all over the body in almost every organ including the skin.
The receptors best known today is the CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are found mostly in our central nervous system, and the CB2 receptors are found mostly in the peripheral nervous system and the immune system.

We do produce cannabinoids ourselves, just like we produce hormones; But in our modern society, we actually do not produce enough to support the homeostasis (balance) needed to maintain health and wellness.
Thats why it is important to ad plant-based cannabinoid supplements.

Although we have other botanicals which support the ECS system, the Hemp plant is superior with an abundance of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, minerals, plant omegas and plant proteins, which all together gives you an entourage effect. That is, when you are taking a Full Spectrum Hemp oil.

The discovery of the ECS is one of the most important finds of the 20th century and scientists are just getting started on everything it can teach us. The research of the ECS is ongoing, and will get us closer to understanding how this incredible system seems to support almost every function of the body, and how we can enhance that function with phytocannabinoid support like Hemp Oil.
